Are you going to finance a home in Clinton?

Stressed out about getting financing for a home purchase? You don't have to be. I've got great connections to a lot of mortgage lenders in Clinton, and they've helped me learn a few things that will make the loan application process uncomplicated.

1 – Make a list of questions about your loan program

Make sure you have a list of questions if you find that you don't entirely understand the advantages and disadvantages of all the various programs. At times, it can be a challenge to know the differences between fixed and adjustable rate mortgages. I or one of my lenders can assist you with understanding the advantages and disadvantages of both programs.

2 – Determine when to lock

When you lock in the rate, it means that a mortgage lender commits to the interest rates for the loan – commonly at the time the loan application is sent in. By floating the rate, you can lock the rate at any time between the day of your loan application and closing. Buyers who decide to float conclude that the interest rates will drop in the near future. 3 – Determine if you want to pay additional points to reduce your rate

If you choose to pay additional points to lower the interest rate of your loan, you will pay for them in cash at closing. Each point is 1 percent of the mortgage loan. To decide if buying points is the best option for you, click here to use our points calculator.

4 – Bring your paperwork

Getting a loan requires a lot of paperwork, so you should spend some time getting all your documentation together. Click here to get a feel for typical information that goes on a loan application.

Not sure about the loan process?

Contacting a lender can be intimidating, let us help you. We can give
